We all have seen darkness,
We all have seen light,
We know what it’s like to fade,
We know what it’s like to shine bright.

There have been highs,
There have been lows,
Life has taught us to surrender
And go with the flow.

Sadness in abundance,
Yet there is happiness,
Total lockdown has taught us,
To appreciate nature
And the beauty of wilderness.

Moments of crisis,
Moments of calamity,
Pandemic has taught us
To slow down
And experience serendipity.

So, yes, there are highs,
And indeed, there are lows,
Life has taught us
To surrender
And learn to go with the flow.
